Who am I?

My name is Lina* and I'm a refugee support worker in London. I came to the UK from Syria 5 years ago. 

My sister urgently needs to get to the UK for life-changing medical treatment. Help to bring her here through supporting my family reunion case.

My sister's story

My sister lives in Syria. She has a rare spinal condition called hemiplegia from a complication in hospital when she was a child.

My sister cannot get the medical treatment she needs in Syria and will soon need a wheelchair. Our hometown in Syria has been ravaged by the war. Her life will drastically change and she won't be able to go outside in her wheelchair. She needs a chance to live her life safely in the UK.

What is the next step in the case? 

I have applied through the Immigration Rule for my sister to join me in the UK to give her the chance of a new life she so badly needs. She has a good chance of being able to join me here which will completely change her life.

Sadly, these legal fees are prohibitively expensive. There is no legal aid available to help us. I am covering as much as possible, but the total cost is likely to be £7,000. 

How much we are raising and why? 

I need to raise at least £2,000 to help with these legal fees. I am doing everything I can to cover the rest.
