I am a 39 year old man, I  have been troubled by the suffering the Palestinians have endured over many years. British and US support for Israel and have caused much of the suffering of Palestinians. 

Action I took

I took part in an a protest against Elbit systems, Elbit is an Israeli arms manufacturer with many sites in the UK. Elbit weapons are used against Palestinians, they are made here in the UK. I decided to join the action against Elbit after the 2021 bombings of Gaza. I was very distressed by the videos of children being maimed and killed. I have worked in the classroom with children for many years and seeing many  Palestinians being killed by weapons made here, forced me to take action. 

Elbit Systems has vacated the site at 77 Kingsway after many protests, and the site is no longer used to create weapons that are used on Palestinians.

Israel is currently being investigated by the International Criminal Court. Arms companies like Elbit Systems help provide Israel with the means to maintain the illegal occupation and annex more Palestinian land in breach of international humanitarian law.

What is the next step in the case? -

The UK Government rather than taking action or putting Elbit Systems on trial, have charged me with criminal damage and I face up to 10 years in prison if convicted. Inevitably I now need to raise funds for legal fees and costs - and already these demands are starting, so I would be grateful for any help you can give. Please support me.
