Hello, I am a business owner from Warwickshire and purchased my first home nearly 3 years ago. I escaped domestic violence and looked forward to a fresh start.
In 2022 the local authority began a campaign of malicious communication, vexatious behaviour and failure to respond to complaints, whilst doing so they breached my data.
In May 2024, whilst litigation was on-going they then filmed me in my private home when I was wearing a see through top. I feel unsafe, want to sell and move and I feel violated. The filming happened whilst a current court case against the local authority was being processed by the courts.
I have sought legal advice and been told I can pursue the employee from the local authority for filming me and I need support to continue my civil claim in the courts.
I am raising £50,000 to continue the current civil claim and pursue the local authority through private prosecution for privately filming myself. We need your support: please contribute and share this page now!
I want to ensure the local authority cannot do this again and act dishonestly with the private data of members of the public. They simply cannot act like this to other people, not just women. I believe I have been targeted due to being classed as vulnerable and for winning my complaint made to the ICO against the local authority in August 2023.
The local authority have a duty of care and I have the right to privacy, right to private life and data protection.
I do not feel safe in my own home that I should be enjoying having worked hard to purchase it. It should have been an exciting time which has now been lost due to the behaviour of the local authority.
I am currently in litigation against the local authority for data breach and my claim was struck out wrongly by the judge for false claim of trial fee not paid when it was before the deadline and evidence of bank statements and call recordings have been submitted.
I want to pursue the local authority for the filming and continue my claim for data breach. The person filming has been confirmed as an employee of the local authority and he would have known he filmed me wearing a see through top and semi naked.
I want to raise £50,000 to pursue the local authority and hope to bring media attention to my case and the local authority be held accountable.
Thank you.
