STOP NO JAB NO JOB
STOP NO JAB NO JOB
Who am I? -
Matthew Hoy, a former vocalist for UB40 Feat Ali Campbell & Astro
Summary - ‘I was unfairly dismissed from the job I loved for not having the Covid 19 vaccine, even though the group and management company knew I was unable to have it due to my medical condition’
On one occasion Matthew, whilst on tour in Dundee (Scotland), became unwell and was admitted to hospital with an erratic heartbeat. Matthew contacted the Tour Manager of UB40 and asked for assistance to the hospital, assisting him to hospital confirms both the band and management company were aware of Matthew’s condition and diagnosis.
Call to action - Matthew Hoy was dismissed from his position for being medically unable to receive the Covid Vaccine, the group and management company are now making it mandatory for all members to have the Covid 19 vaccine, completely ignoring the Disability section of the Equality Act and any medical conditions the individuals may have. If you don’t take the Covid 19 vaccine, regardless of what the possible adverse affects may be, then you will be dismissed.
Mathew’s medical condition is well known to the group and management company, having had a previous adverse reaction from a flu vaccine and developed a large lump underneath his lymph nodes. Upon seeking further medical advice, he was advised the risks outweigh the benefits of receiving the Covid Vaccine.
The Workers of England Union are supporting Matthew in his discrimination case along with Solicitor Robin Tilbrook.
