Endalew Neberu is the brother of late Ayana Neberu. Ayana was a graduate of Axum University. In the Summer of 2017 after his graduation Ayana planned to come to the United States. After Ayana graduated he traveled to Bahrdar where his home is. On the way home for no apparent reason Ayana was taken custody in Adi Arkay where he was held by government authorities and taken back to Axum. In Axum he was mysteriously killed and his body left in one of the dorms at a time when there were no students on campus.
Endalew has made it to the USA and surrendered to immigration authorities up on arrival and is seeking asylum. He fears for his life and does not want to be deported to Ethiopia. We have legal help available for him but we need everyone's help to raise the money for the legal fee. We certainly don't want him returned as it will mean condemning him to suffering and possible death. Your help can save the only surviving son for the family.
Endalew's interview was broadcasted by Abebe of Addis radio. You can listen to Endalew's interview starting at the 47:03 minute mark using the below hyperlink. Please fast forward and listen to the story for yourself.

Your support is crucial and for Endalew it means to live and tell about his brother's death or for him to fall victim just like his brother if he is deported. We must raise the full amount needed because anything less will cancel the fundraising process. This is our chance to help rather than living with bitter disappointments. We are counting on you.

Amazing Level of Support for Endalew
In just 18 days the minimum goal of $10,000 was surpassed today. This shows the whole community is behind Endalew. It is unfortunate he lost not one but two brothers with Ayana being the most recent one and yet he is languishing in immigration detention. The community has responded to the challenge to set Endalew free and to hopefully someday seek justice for the killing of his brother. It is deeply touching in how our community has supported this cause.
