Culture of complicity to preserve reputation
Culture of complicity to preserve reputation
Who am I? A PhD student
Summary: I started my PhD at one of the universities in London never knowing the appalling culture of complicity at that university which is beyond comprehension, and never knowing how comfortably they victimize other people to preserve their reputation.
I was badly harassed by my supervisor when I declined his request to be his girlfriend and when he targeted me with the most horrendous racial abuse and discrimination. He suspended me in my project and he kept me isolated from his other students; he did not let me have access to the research facilities and he excluded me from his lab.
When I reported the misconduct of that professor to the ones that are supposed to support me, they misrepresent me to hundreds of academics and students by distorting the reality, to conceal the fact that they failed to show commitment to human rights.
When I complained that they did complicity, they conspired to remove me from university. For months, they forced me to sign a document that they prepared to pretend as if I have academic insufficiency to conceal that removing me from university has been victimization; because of the huge amount of prohibited conduct against me, I almost lost one eye, among other personal injuries.
Call to action: We are fundraising to do legal proceedings and we need your support; please contribute and share this page now!
What are we trying to achieve? This has been for such a long time that to preserve their reputation, the university victimizes students who complain about misbehaviour and prohibited conduct and I have not been the only case. The culture of complicity and human rights violation to preserve reputation have to stop.
What is the next step in the case? As soon as enough fund is available my solicitor will start court proceedings.
How much we are raising and why? This is a complicated case with documents of over 1000 pages that prove numerous wrong doings of some staff at that university. It is vital to have an experienced solicitor and a barrister and paying for their service is very expensive. This is a High Court matter and it is estimated that paying the legal team would be over £70,000 and court fees would be not less than £30,000. Thus we are raising £100,000
Thank you so much for your support and kindness.
