Read moreThe controversial Government high speed rail project (HS2) is continuing to destroy wildlife habitats and ancient woodlands and to threaten our fresh drinking water supplies from the Mid Chilterns Chalk aquifer underlying the Mid Colne Valley in Hillingdon. HS2 Ltd has continued the destruction throughout the Covid-19 emergency.
On top of that the Secretary for State for Transport and HS2 Ltd have named me as a Defendant in their High Court case to renew the Injunctions at Harvil Road. The hearing which is due on 22 June will take place virtually. HS2 are alleging that I (among others) have committed unlawful activities which I am denying. The penalty for breaking high court Injunctions can be severe. However I am alleging that HS2 Ltd contractors are engaged in unlawful activities, including the destruction of protected habitat and species, in Denham Country Park.

My initial target is £3,000 with a stretch target of £7,000. This is to pay my solicitor and barrister.
I have been working closely with solicitors investigating HS2 lack of compliance with European environmental protection laws. We have a current claim CHAP(2019)03209 in the European Parliament claiming that the UK Government is in breach of the Drinking Water Directive and the Water Framework Directive. Any additional funds raised will go towards fighting the EU case.

Still waiting for Information Court decision
Hi everyone, this is an update on the threats to our water supply from major engineering project HS2 in Colne Valley. On 4 March the hearing was held for EA 2020 0088 Sarah Green against HS2 Ltd in the GRC Information Rights Court. We are still waiting for the decision. The panel of judges has to come to a consensus, with the cut off date for announcing the decision being 1 April 2021.
The case revolves around water risk assessments for the eastern part of the Colne Valley Viaduct. Here the viaduct is being built through drinking water protected areas (DWPAs) for a contaminated source and then a good quality water source. A Special Site of Contamination and existing poor quality groundwater are in the vicinity.
It was confirmed in the case that the DWPAs potentially at risk, in the Colne Valley, supply 1.3 million people with daily drinking water.
The London Borough of Hillingdon are about to decide HS2 Ltd application for the Colne Valley Viaduct and so it is of utmost importance that the risk assessments are made public, not just for water customers but for decision makers and independent experts.
Our chalk aquifer filtered water is a valuable but fragile asset that should be treasured, and not put at risk.
If you agree you can click on the link below and give your comments to LBH. Ask the council to hold back on consent for the viaduct until they have seen unredacted water risk assessments, until risk assessments are produced which include the landfill site and polluted source, and until there is certainty that there will be no lasting spread of pollution and deterioration of our drinking water.

Funds being asked for in this appeal are to pay outstanding legal fees from 2020 when HS2 repeatedly took me to court.

Information Rights court hearing tomorrow
Tomorrow at 10am I have a court case against HS2 Ltd for refusing to release the water risk assessments for the Load Test Pile Site at Harvil Road, before they completed the works. The case is being heard in the First Tier Regulatory Chamber Case number EA/2020/0088. It is a virtual hearing and the public can attend.
Some of the funds raised previously were used to put in a legal case to the European Parliament and the rest went to solicitor and barrister fees in the injunction cases taken out by HS2 against me and other protestors. I have outstanding legal fees yet to be paid and would appreciate any support.
