Who am I?

I am a father of two children. My children are of an ethnic minority. I was sent harassing messages including an image of a monkey purporting it to be a child of mixed race. I am British, the person that sent the message is British and it was sent via social media to an account opened with a UK telephone number. However, I and the sender (who is known to me in a professional capacity) were both overseas at the time.

Why is this case important?

I want to take action to stop this happening to others, however, before a criminal case can proceed a very complex written form of legal advice is required from a top UK lawyer to see if a the UK courts have jurisdiction. The advice will cost £8,000 plus VAT eg £9,600 So this is the target.

The reason this is important is that it needs to be established that racist abuse is not acceptable regardless of where in the world the sender was at the time of the harassing behaviour.
