Case Owner
The Wootton Environment Protection Group was set up in 2014 after 50 years of local campaigning to the Council.

Please help the Wootton Environment Protection Group to protect the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in which we live.

Since 2014 we have been campaigning to prevent a local race circuit from:

  • expanding its activities by 300%
  • increasing noise levels to an unimaginable level and
  • destroying our environment.

In 2015 our local Council recognised that the circuit was causing a statutory noise nuisance and served a Noise Abatement Notice. It has never enforced this Notice, despite the many significant breaches we have recorded and provided to them.

Our Group has met with the Council on numerous occasions, to no avail. All we have ever requested is the Council act and enforce the Notice they served.

After four years we now have no option but to take legal action.

We know of another legal case, similar to ours, which was successful. This gives us hope.

We have invested in an Acoustics Team, a Solicitor and a Barrister but we now need substantial funds to fight this case against a Council which refuses to act and protect its residents and the AONB.

Please donate to this page and share it with friends and family through social media or via email. Your support will enable us to defend our community and help our Council act against ruthless developers!
