I am a doctor working at a leading hospital in England. I did whistleblowing for failing to comply with legal obligation and raised multiple concerns about research misconduct with the senior management. Also reported various violations of Equality Act 2010 and bullying culture. For speaking up, I have been severely victimised.

I have been subjected to gaslighting, my career advancement has been impeded and my reputation has been tarnished by creating a false narrative. There are serious issues of cover-up.  Despite my persistent efforts to pursue mediation, the senior management adamantly refused, leading to the matter being escalated to the employment tribunal.

Whistleblowing requires huge courage and breaking ranks is particularly difficult in a hierarchical department - I spoke the truth, exposed the wrongdoings and as a result, I am ostracized by my peers and severely punished for disturbing the “unspoken code of silence”. The allegations involve very senior figures who hold significant power and influence inside and outside the hospital. NHS has a legal responsibility to protect the whistleblower from victimization.

I believe that the disclosures are in the public interest because violation of the research misconduct and fraud policy is a serious offense that undermines the integrity of scientific research. It is essential for the public to be aware of such misconduct to maintain trust in the scientific community. Moreover, revealing these violations would act as a deterrent for others.

I believe that the disclosures are in the public interest because the Equality, Diversity and inclusion is essential for creating a fair society and to stop discriminatory practices.

This case is in the public interest and at the heart of what was reported recently in the media:https://www.theguardian.com/society/2024/oct/17/british-bame-and-foreign-doctors-suffer-discrimination-throughout-careers

This crowdfunding is to raise funds for a hearing in June 2025.

NHS bear a legal and ethical obligation to create a safe and transparent workplace where staff can voice concerns without fear of reprisal, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and safeguarding the rights and dignity of all employees.

Thank you for your support in this matter - it will have an impact for allowing doctors to raise concerns without fear of detriment and to protect staff from retaliation and career damage, caused by raising issues in the public interest.
