The water we drink is one of the most precious things we have, along with clean air to breathe and the privilege of life. If we cannot protect these things, what can we protect?? We MUST stand as one.

You may remember my last funding appeal for defence costs against aggravated trespass in the HS2 Load Test Piling site. This helped a great deal in raising the question of risks to the aquifer before the courts.

I was not found guilty and neither have many other protestors who have been holding up work at Harvil Road ever since. No one has been found guilty of disrupting ‘lawful’ work and HS2 has not proved that their plans within the Source Protection Zones are 'lawful'. Direct Action and a 24 hour vigil is ongoing at Harvil Road UB9 6JW.

Now we need a legal challenge into the decision making that has left our vital water sources at risk of temporary and permanent deterioration. Harrison Grant Environmental Solicitors have agreed to take on the case.

A successful legal challenge can halt HS2 damage and protect our fresh drinking water and the ecosystems of the Mid Colne Valley that depend on the quality of water.

Today UK and EU law protects water sources in England, so now is the right time to make this legal challenge.

We are starting with £3000 raised from the previous fund and will only know the amount of funding needed after this stage of legal investigation is complete.

Thank you to everyone who donated before. The fight continues to protect our drinking water sources in West London. Together we can win.
