Please help P.D!
Please help P.D!
P.D came to Britain legally with his mother and siblings but 2 yrs later his parents split up and his mother was forced back to Gambia because they were on his dad's visa, she left with the girls but left P.D behind all alone. Scared and alone with no caregiver and only 14.
He had an elderly woman support him for the first 18 months and he went to school briefly and college. At 17 he was totally on his own. No home, no family, no money, no papers, sleeping on streets, not allowed to work, no guidance, totally alone. God only knows how he survive. He went to see a few solicitors but with no guidance or appropriate adult he did not know what to do and by this time Britain had become his home.
At 21 he met the woman off his dreams and fell in love. He is now 25 and still in love and her family love him very much also. He finally plucked up the courage to tell his girlfriend's mother of his circumstances as he was too afraid of being rejected. She is now trying to help him. She is my best friend but she is on disability and not well so I am crowd funding on their behalf.
I went with him to see a solicitor and she has started the ball rolling. The solicitor thinks he has only a slim chance but we have to try and it was very hard to hear that he may be deported. I am appealing for help with the solicitor fees.
P.D. is the most loving gentle soul always grateful of the simple things in life always so humble and I have never heard that boy complain once. He is always the first to jump up and help you. He has spent 11years in uk which is nearly half his life, he has been through so much heartache and disappointed in his young life. He does not want to be deported back to Gambia as he does not have any connections there, he feels his parents abandoned him and that he was not worth helping. It was not his fault that he was brought here and left behind
It would be cruel to send him back as he and his girlfriend want a future together. He wants to be able to work, to study, to plan ahead. Hopefully, we can fight P.D's corner!
Please this is a heartfelt plea for help, I cannot help the world but hopefully I can help one person at a time!
