Speak Out Woolwich is a local residents' group fighting to ensure all developments meet the local housing and community needs of people in Woolwich.

Speak Out Woolwich is a local campaigning residents' group that wants regeneration to meet the needs of the local community not that of private developers.

Join us in our campaign to stop this development by Meyer Homes, which includes a 27-storey skyscraper in the heart of Woolwich.  The skyscraper will have no social housing for local people. Over 1,700 people have already signed a petition against it.

Greenwich Council's Planning Board unanimously rejected this development.

Meyer Homes have lodged an appeal and there will now be a 6 day national Planning Inquiry to determine the outcome of that appeal.

This development was the catalyst for the formation of Speak Out Woolwich two years ago and we have been at the forefront of community action to stop it.

We are now a formal party ( rule 6 status)  to this Inquiry along with Greenwich Council and Meyer Homes.

They will be fully represented by barristers. We need your support to fund our own legal representation to make sure we do justice to the community's case at the Inquiry. Please contribute and share this page now.

We need to urgently raise an initial £1,000 to enable us to get legal advice for aspects of our case.  If we could raise £8,400 we could instruct our own barrister to represent us throughout the 6 day Inquiry.

Anything you can give will support us in representing the community to fight this development.
