Mike Hill Professional Engineer Legal Case Fracking
Mike Hill Professional Engineer Legal Case Fracking
I have been very heavily involved, as a Chartered Engineer, in working for the Fylde and wider UK community to get an appropriate (to the risk) regulation in place for fracking exploratory activity.
I have always stated that safety (for the environment and the public) must come before commercial viability. If fracking cannot be executed because the safety regulations are set at a level that ensures the public health is protected then fracking cannot be done - full stop.
As a professional engineer who has worked in oil and gas for over 20 years, I have worked with/assisted the DECC, County Councils, Borough Councils, NGOs and residents groups to understand what fracking is, what the risks are and how they should and indeed must be mitigated.
In doing so I have attracted some very unwelcome attention from the regulators and trolls. This has resulted in two Complaints (each consisting of over 60+ accusations) against me in the last 4 years to my professional body. This has damaged my business and cost me financially. I now need to raise funds to pay legal bills of lawyers that helped defend me against those charges. I am very grateful for any help.
Mike
