Raising funds to legally challenge the decision to refuse a spouse visa renewal to Phatchareeya

Please help me challenge the Home Office's decision not to grant my wife a spousal visa, that would force us to leave the UK.

Who am I?

I am Mark Knott and I am a British national, born and raised in the UK.  I am English and my family are English going back generations.  I have lived my whole life in the UK.  I work as a freelance tattoo artist.  A few years ago I met and fell in love with Phatchareeya, who is Thai.

Background to our Case

We were married and I legally applied to bring her to the UK as my wife.  The visa was granted with no problems and she was given two and a half years.  In the last year of her visa I had a back problem, which affected my ability to work, and therefore when it came to renew my wife's visa the Home Office refused the application based on my income.

I appealed to the Tribunal but the Judge told me that I should leave my life in the UK and live with her in Thailand, even though I have never lived in another country, cannot speak the language and have no qualifications.

By this time I had began working again, so we reapplied to the Home Office hoping that now we had the correct income between us she would be permitted to stay. We have just received another refusal letter from the Home Office that refused the application on technicalities; they say we applied after 16 days when the rules only allow 14 days, plus even though the income was high enough, the accounts upon which it was based do not cover a full 12 months.

Why we need your help:
This decision by the Home Office I believe shows a complete lack of humanity and understanding.  Given the effect of the decision on our lives, and we therefore wish to raise funds because we believe the decision is illegal and therefore should be challenged by a Judicial Review.

We need to raise £2,500 to begin with so our solicitor can take our case, and overall we need to raise £12,000 to challenge the Home Office.
