Domestic Violence Assist is the UK's only registered charity specialising in obtaining civil protection orders for survivors of domestic abuse.

Everyday DV Assist helps survivors of domestic violence protect themselves by arranging non-molestation orders, prohibited steps orders and occupation orders.

We are seeking support for a part-time member of staff to work exclusively with survivors of domestic abuse in helping them prepare their cases for civil protection orders where they are not eligible for legal aid and cannot afford solicitors fees.

We receive numerous referrals on a daily basis or survivors wanting either Non-Molestation Orders, Prohibited Steps and or Occupation Orders.

Many survivors do not qualify for legal aid and they cannot afford legal fees. Please contribute now and share this page on social media to help us support survivors of domestic violence.

With funding for a part-time member of staff, we would be able to prepare their case including taking a detailed witness statement in support of the application, completing all the applications forms and arranging for service of any orders. We will also be able to assist them in preparing for any future hearings.

Many survivors do not have the knowledge or confidence to do this themselves and end up with no safeguarding in place.

People like Jen (not her real name). Jen was referred to us to try and obtain a Non Molestation Order and Child Protection Order against her abuser who had committed numerous assaults against her and controlled every aspect of her life. She managed to escape to a refuge. He was arrested but CPS decided not to prosecute due to insufficient evidence. Jen's parents set up a bank account for their grandchild paying in a monthly amount. Because Jen has control of the account it counted towards her assets for legal aid and took her over the threshold hence disqualifying her for legal aid. She has no funds for solicitors fees and is too frightened of having to cross-examine her abuser in court if she represents herself.

Please help us to help people like Jen and other surviviors of domestic abuse to access the legal support they need.

How much are we raising and why?

We are seeking to raise £6,000 to pay for a member of staff to support our work. If the funds exceed our target we will utilise the funds for increasing the hours of the staff member.

Thanks for your support - contributions and sharing this page will make a huge difference.
