KOGS - Keep Our Green Spaces
This case is raising funds for its stretch target. Your pledge will be collected within the next 24-48 hours (and it only takes two minutes to pledge!)
OUR FINAL TARGET!
We would like to submit a Landscape Architect’s Report as the application involves an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). This is an important and lengthy report detailing technical and legal issues surrounding the AONB and includes a landscape appraisal, landscape and visual impact assessment and expert witness services at the Public Inquiry.
We need to allow £7500 for this and only have until Sunday 14th March to raise the funds! We are unable to instruct the Landscape Architect until the full amount has been pledged; your bank cards will not be charged until we reach the target.
Thank you so much for your contribution towards saving this amazing and much-loved part of our countryside, not just for us but for future generations. The whole area is also home to a diverse range of wildlife.
WHAT WE’VE RAISED SO FAR …
To date we’ve raised just over £4K for a Statement of Case prepared by a leading law firm with expertise in environmental, wildlife, planning and public law. This impressive document will be submitted as part of KOGS evidence at the Public Inquiry. Thank you so much to all those who have given.
THE BEGINNING OF OUR CAMPAIGN
Our story began last March when FAIRFAX submitted an application to Horsham District Council to build 473 new houses on farmland at Newhouse Farm, off Old Crawley Road, Horsham.
The whole area is recognised as part of the High Weald AONB.
The area earmarked for development is bounded by Old Crawley Road, Sycamore Avenue, New Moorhead Drive, and Beech Road playing fields. The bigger two fields have a public footpath leading across and are partly surrounded by an ancient bluebell woodland.
This space is currently enjoyed by hundreds of residents, families, children, dog walkers and wildlife, and is also surrounded by a beautiful ancient woodland.
We have been so encouraged by everyone’s support over the last year and we’re confident we can achieve this! This may sound a lot, but we have one chance at this, and want to submit the best reports by experts in their field.
