I am the mother to my 16 year old daughter Abian (Abbie) and married to my husband J, a British citizen. After suffering from a severe ovarian cancer we wish to establish Abbie's status in the UK.

I am T, a mother to 16 year old Abian (Abbie) from Botswana currently in UK with my husband J, a British citizen. We are here for my daughters treatment of a rare form of ovarian cancer called Immature Teratoma and to establish ourselves in the UK as a family. Our daughter has survived a life long battle with ovarian cancer as a teenager and now needs to regularise her status in the UK. The Home Office and our lawyers are charging us upward of £3000 to confirm my daughters citizenship. My husband J, Abbie's father, is already a British citizen and together we have helped Abbie. Abbie is still at risk of relapse, two years in to a five year remission period and has undergone:

*4 cycles of BEP chemotherapy.
*3 surgical resections.
*1 very complex life saving surgery to remove tumours weighing over 8kg.
*3 further surgeries to washout the infected fluid collections resulted from the major surgery.
*skin graft to close the tummy wound which broke down due to multiple resections.
*frequent hospital reviews, regular CT scans, ultrasounds and X-Ray's to monitor any growth of tumours.

Although her condition is stable she is still in danger and needing medical attention until the 5 year period has passed. This means it is vital for her health to remain in the UK, with the only doctors in the world who would treat her and consequently save her life. She has developed a trust in the different professionals who worked alongside to rehabilitate her in the UK.

Abbie missed two vital years of her education because of the illness. Despite everything Abbie finished her GCSE's this year and has been accepted to Bilborough College, pending her application with the Home Office. Abbie was ecstatic about recently going to prom with her friends, as were all her family here because we never envisioned she would live to reach this milestone. Having been through so much she talks about becoming a doctor one day.

Please donate so that my daughter can stay with her family, continue her treatment and pursue her dreams of being a doctor so she can give back to the community.
