JCWI provides life-changing legal and practical support for people impacted by the UK government's hostile immigration policies. We desperately need your help to continue this work this Christmas.

2024 has been the deadliest year for those seeking sanctuary in the UK. While lives are lost on the perilous Channel crossing, the government keeps doubling down on policies that shut down safe routes and push people into danger.

Families have been torn apart, and record numbers of people have died attempting the perilous journey across the English Channel. Given the choice, no one would risk their lives and those of their families in a small, unfit-for-purpose boat, but without safe routes, this is exactly what families are forced to do.

Day in and day out, we hear about the deaths of babies and children separated from their parents on these treacherous journeys. Behind each headline is a human tragedy.

Our team is dedicated to making the UK a fair and welcoming place. We challenge unjust immigration policies and provide vital legal support to those seeking sanctuary, reuniting with family, or building a better life.

Your support can help us fight for justice for migrants.

Here are some of the ways your gift can make a difference:

£200 could support a family with essential food, clothing & supplies

£100 could fund travel, allowing a reunited family to reach their home.

£80 could cover a night's stay in emergency accommodation

£50 could provide an hour of essential legal support

Our services go beyond legal representation. We help clients find emergency housing, connect them to healthcare providers, secure food, and access other vital resources. Many of our clients arrive with only the clothes on their backs, traumatised and alone, separated from the people they love most. For them, we are a lifeline.

The JCWI team also challenges unjust policies harmful to migrants and work to shift the UK to being more welcoming for migrants. We need your support to continue that vital work.

Every day, we receive calls from individuals who have made it to the UK--but now face the next battle—of how to build a safe life in the UK and reunite with their loved ones.

Donations, no matter the size, helps us offer life-changing support to those in need. It also funds our work to change policies that hurt those who move and keep families apart.

Together, we can create a hospitable place for those fleeing war and torture and seeking a safe life.

People have the right to move and families deserve to be together and not separated by a lack of safe routes.

We know that times are tough, but please give what you can. If you can’t donate today, would you consider sharing this page with your friends, family, and social networks? Every share helps us reach more people who care and want to help.

Thank you for standing with us.

Let’s make sure that separated families find peace, security, and a future worth hoping for, especially at this special time of year.
