Help Palestine Actionist with court costs
Help Palestine Actionist with court costs
This is a desperate call for your support!
One of our brave comrades, a father in full-time employment, is facing an overwhelming £7,955 in court costs, for allegedly taking part in an act of resistance against Barclays complicity in the Gaza genocide!
On June 26th, 2024, Barclays and JP Morgan in Leeds were covered in red paint to expose their role in the bloodshed. These financial giants, through their investments and services, fund arms companies that provide the Israeli regime with weapons of destruction—drones, bombs, and jets—used to murder and displace Palestinian families in Gaza.
At the time of the action - Barclays and JP Morgan invested heavily into and lent money to, provided underwritings to, and gave financial services to Israeli owned Elbit Systems, BAE Systems, Boeing, Caterpillar, Rolls-Royce, Ultra Electronics, Raytheon and more, all of which supplied drones, bombs and military equipment to the Israeli regime.
Since this and other actions, Palestine Action have pushed Barclays to fully divest in Elbit, and the British government to cancel their £2 billion contract with Elbit Systems. We believe that these actions were a necessary step to pressuring the Israeli government into a ceasefire.
This actionist is one of seven people accused of this protest, and the legal costs are astronomical. He is asking for our help to cover these costs so he can continue the fight for justice in court infront of judge & jury.
We need you to stand with him. Every contribution, no matter how small, will show that we are united in this struggle. Let's demonstrate the strength of our movement, the solidarity that flows across the UK, and the unwavering commitment we have to ending the suffering in Gaza.
Please, donate what you can to support this fight. Your generosity means the world to us and will help ensure this brave individual doesn’t bear this financial burden alone.
Together, we can show the powers that be that they cannot silence us. We will not stop until justice is served.
Thank you for standing with Palestine Action.
