JCWI provides life-changing legal and practical support for people impacted by the UK government's hostile immigration policies. We desperately need your help to continue this work.

This government’s Refugee Ban is set to destroy families and prevent vulnerable people fleeing war and torture from seeking asylum in the UK. Once people arrive in the UK the hostile environment is keeping vulnerable people from accessing healthcare or getting the most basic essentials. But with your help we are fighting back.

The Home Secretary Suella Braverman’s continues to unleash more hostile policies which threaten not just our welcoming values but asylum law as we know it. But our lawyers continue to fight back, they sent letter of complaint to the Bar Council Board about Suella Braverman’s anti-migrant language which we believe breached the barrister’s code. As we see a rise in hate our message of hope needs to be just as strong. And for that, we desperately need your help.

You can fight back and help to create a country that is welcoming to all.

Help us provide free life-saving legal support or a safe hotel room for someone. Help us send blankets to destitute families in desperate need of accommodation. Every donation no matter how small will help us fight back Suella’s hostile policies.

'If you believe people like me deserve a chance of a life that was robbed away from us, please consider supporting JCWI' - Mukilini, Asylum Seeker and Client (fled war and torture from two countries after the government targeted her. We are supporting her pursuit for a safe life with legal advice and assistance.)

Please chip in today, to help us reach more people with life-changing legal support.

£20 could help pay for transportation for a week for someone who needs to attend Home Office and Doctors appointments

£25 could help us provide an hour of life-changing legal advice to keep mums with their children

£50 could pay for essential groceries including baby formula and toiletries to keep a mum and baby healthy and fed for a week while we help her get access to government help.

£200 could provide safe emergency accommodation in a hotel for a family facing street homelessness

Every day, our lawyers support people in need. We provide urgent legal advice to people illegally detained or facing deportation. We provide support through our emergency compassion fund for when our clients’ survival is at risk and they need food for their children, a roof over their heads or phone credit to access life-changing legal advice. But funds are running low, and we need your help.

We know times are tough, so if you aren’t able to donate right now, could you help us spread the word by sharing this page on social media?

Thank you.
