Help Jumoke raise £15k to bring her children to safety in the UK
Jumoke fled an abusive relationship with her young son and daughter. She was forced to leave her two teenage daughters behind, but promised she would return for them. She was then trafficked to the UK, where she was granted asylum after a five year fight. But the long wait for asylum meant that her elder daughters had turned 18 and were too old under the refugee family reunion rules to be reunited with their mother.
This cruel consequence of her struggle to win safety for herself and her children is an obvious injustice. Jumoke has been granted permission to have her case heard by the Court of Appeal. With that comes the potential to set precedent that will help other families separated in similar circumstances. But she needs £15,000 to cover her legal fees and make good on the committent she made to bring her children to safety. Every contribution is deeply appreciated.
