Greenfield's Community Group - Round 2 Judicial Review
The Greenfield's Community Group, Shrewsbury, is raising funds to mount a legal challenge to a Planning Application to build 17 houses on what is Recreational Land at Greenfield's Recreation Ground . The whole community of Greenfields of over 200 individuals are opposing this plan by petition and objection to build on our Green, Community and Open Space.
Greenfield's Recreation Ground is our children's future and a connection to nature
This plan will change our Community forever :
Greenfield's Recreation Ground is our Park. It has been a part of Greenfield's Community for more than 100 years
Greenfield's Recreation Ground looks after our health, social and well being
Our children - Primary School Children use a footpath across Greenfield's Recreation Ground to walk to school. Away from roads and next to nature; next to wildlife and trees
Greenfield's Recreation Ground is used daily for sustainable and environmentally low carbon travel - Sustrans has data to show 600 unique cycle journeys per week in 2017
Greenfield's Recreation Ground is a Cycle Way and footpaths used for sustainable and carbon neutral travel
We want a better and more unique vision other than just housing
HELP SAVE OUR OPEN SPACE
The Greenfield's Community Group is requesting that Shrewsbury Town Council and Shropshire Coucil the custodians of this Open Space and community recreational grounds reconsider their sale and the application of this plan to build under the National Planning Policy Framework 2012 - 73
The Greenfield's Community Group would like a greater vision in terms of the future use of this land for and by the Community for its educational, ecological and recreational us by and on behalf of this community. It has been park land for several hundred years and as such is a long term Community and Wildlife Asset
