Galahad Trust owns Cornish cliff edge land between the coastal path and high water mark from Pentargon to Firebeacon Point:SS1092. Someone registered our land for themselves - we want it back for you.

Galahad Trust owns a wild and beautiful kilometre of the SSSI north Cornwall coast of Beeny Cliff including Seal's Hole. HM Land Registry registered some of Galahad's land to someone who has fencing it off even though it is 'Open Access' and should be accessible for all.

We need funds to go to the Property Tribunal to rectify the land registration 'mistake' to get the land back for the general public to enjoy.

Case Background:

Galahad Trust bought the land in 1972 and has looked after it since then. This area is rich in wildlife both fauna and flora and is undisturbed by human activity. The South West Coastal Path skirts around our east border and the views from Galahad land across the Atlantic were, and should always be, for everyone.

Our Trust Deed states our ethos which is 'to promote for the benefit of the community the preservation in the natural state of land of outstanding interest by reason of the beauty or rarity of its indigenous plant life or wild life or scenery'.

Our five Trustees embrace these values and we firmly believe that this land should not be grazed by cattle or owned by anyone for their sole commercial benefit.

Why do we need your help?

We need to raise £7,000 funds will pay for legal advice, help with the form filling and representation at the Tribunal to get the land registered in the Trust's name. Cases like this can take months to get to Tribunal and take up to five days in Court, the sooner we can raise funds the quicker we can get started.

Please take the time to share with page with your friends and family so we can ensure that this area of natural beauty remains in the public's hands for all to enjoy.
