One month till court

Read moreIn April this year, I attended UAV Tactical Systems in order to take part in a peaceful protest against Elbit Systems’ activities and the effect of their weapons on innocent citizens. I was arrested and am due to stand trial in January 2023. I am not entitled to legal aid, and so am seeking help with legal charges of £3,600.
I have worked all my life to protect health and help those less fortunate, especially children. After visiting Palestine and seeing the suffering there, and learning that the means of inflicting this are based so near to me, I committed to do what I can to stop this slaughter.
Elbit systems manufactures over 85% of the killer drones used by Israeli military to injure and murder civilians in the densely populated Gaza Strip. Elbit’s weapons are manufactured, tested and perfected in close co-operation with the Israeli army using Palestinians as their test subjects. These weapons are a key element in the domination and oppression of Palestinians, while also being sold as “battle tested” to numerous oppressive regimes across the world. The Gaza strip is the most densely populated area of earth, home to many driven from their villages during the Nakba, and later, who live in what is described as an open air prison, with little protection. Those killed include children, journalists and health workers.
Since 2020 there have been ongoing protests at the various sites of Elbit Systems and its subsidiaries in the UK, by people like me who do not want these weapons of destruction to be manufactured on British soil. During that time, two facilities have closed.

One month till court
I'm thinking ahead to my court appearance, when I can show that the guilt is all Elbit's. I'm very encouraged by the support I have received, it shows that others stand with me, and with Palestine. Recent victories at court and Elbit's loss of contracts, show that activism works. And the World Cup has shown the world that support is widespread.
Sharing of my case and the link is much appreciated
