Don’t Trust the Garden Bridge Trust!
Don’t Trust the Garden Bridge Trust!
My Case
The Garden Bridge Trust promised me, and dozens of other donors, that if the Garden Bridge failed, I would get my money back. The Garden Bridge will not be built and, despite their clear promises, the Trustees are now refusing to return my funds in accordance with their legal obligations to do so.
The Importance of my Case
The Garden Bridge Trust was responsible for wasting millions of pounds of public funding as well as millions of pounds from generous investors like me. The Charity Commission have so far refused to punish the clear failings of the Trust. These proceedings represent the only possibility to expose the Trustees and to hold them to account for their broken promises.
This case represents an opportunity to take action where the government authorities refuse to do so. The Trustees, who are all high profile and prominent public figures, have committed clear breaches of trust and there is evidence showing that the Trust breached charitable regulations as to the way in which it raised funds.
By supporting these proceedings, we will be doing all that we can do to hold the Trustees to account.
Target
I am looking to raise funds to assist me in commencing court proceedings. The more money we can raise, the better our chances of success will be. I have invested significant sums of my own personal money so far to pursue the Trust, however, I do not want to let them get away with their actions simply because they have more money than me.
It would be a truly fantastic achievement if we can raise £50,000.00 to put towards this action.
Current Position
I have presented my case, through my lawyers, to the Garden Bridge Trust, however, they have refused to accept responsibility for their actions. In order to take the matter further, I need to issue Court proceedings to ensure that the Trustees are held to account for what they did.
