My name is Gayzer Frackman. I am from Fylde, in Lancashire. My fight against fracking began in 2011, when my home was damaged by the earthquakes caused by fracking. I promised then, not to rest, until fracking is banned throughout the UK.

The Government has made it abundantly clear that it will impose fracking on communities in England irrespective of local democratic outcomes and regardless of the known health and environmental risks to current and future generations.

Therefore, it is likely that the Government will permit fracking to go ahead in Blackpool, Lancashire on or before October 6th.

I am raising money for a judicial review of this upcoming decision on climate change and human rights grounds.

If we win, we can stop fracking in Blackpool and help to stop fracking in the rest of the Country. This case will show the Government that people in the UK will not be bribed nor accept spurious Government information, to allow unsafe fracking to go ahead.

The monies raised will prove in the courts that fracking is unsafe and that if permitted would put our homes, families and climate at serious risk, of irreversible harm.

We have just 6 weeks to challenge the decision that is to be made any day now.

Time is of the essence. We must be prepared to proceed with the challenge and to do so we must raise £10,000.  After, we hope to raise a further amount to cover the expert evidence and legal expenses for the main hearing.

The Government has made it clear that it will impose fracking on Lancashire whatever the consequences and that it also intends to impose fracking on the rest of the Country.

However, we can challenge them in the courts and we will do so with your help and with the expert legal team.

Should the Government see sense and not permit fracking in Lancashire, the funds raised will be transferred to a CrowdJustice appeal that will further the aims of environmental justice in the energy field.

Via the Environmental Law Foundation, I shall be represented by Paul Stookes of Richard Buxton Solicitors, as well as Marc Willers QC from Garden Court Chambers.

Government decision on fracking in Blackpool

As expected, the Government has just announced today that they're allowing fracking to begin in Blackpool, Lancashire.

Thank you for being so generous so far but now we must make even more efforts to raise the money needed to challenge the decision in court.

Please reach out to all your friends, families and communities by email, Facebook and Twitter to ask them to contribute to this important legal challenge.

Together, we can stop fracking not just in Blackpool but across the country.

This case will show the government that people in the UK will not be bribed nor accept spurious Government information, to allow unsafe fracking to go ahead.

The monies raised will prove in the courts that fracking is unsafe and that if permitted would put our homes, families and climate at serious risk, of irreversible harm.

We have just 6 weeks to challenge the decision. To proceed with the challenge, we have to raise £10,000 by then. Then we hope to raise a further amount to cover the expert evidence and legal expenses for the main hearing.

The Government's decision overturns the local democratic decision made by Lancashire Council and shows the Government's intention to impose fracking across the country.

However we can still challenge them in the courts, and we're going to with your help and with the expert legal team!

Thank you

Gayzer Frackman
