I want to stop insurance companies loading CIFAS markers against innocent people because the markers ruin your life.

Who am I?

I am a middle aged woman trying to make a living and to live a normal life.

My case

I tried to obtain car insurance but the insurance company issued a CIFAS marker against me. I have proved I have done nothing wrong but the marker has ruined my life.

CIFAS markers are imposed by banks and insurance companies without notifying you and prevent you from applying for credit for up to 6 years. People with them have to prove they are innocent even if they have done nothing wrong.

We are raising £10,000 to do this! We need your support - please contribute and share this page on social media or via WhatsApp or email!

Why is this important?

I want to overturn this marker so I can return to a normal life.

I want to stop companies loading markers against innocent people because the markers ruin your life. There were more than 80,000 markers issued last year and many of the people this has happened to may not even be aware they have a marker against them.

What is the next step in the case

My Solicitor wants to apply for injunction asking the insurance company to remove the CIFAS marker. The application will show that I did not do anything wrong.

How much we are raising and why?

I have been advised by my Solicitor that I need £10,000 for court costs.  I need your help! Thank you for your support
