I am a Sanctuary Scholar at the University of Bristol, undertaking the first year of my undergraduate degree in Cancer Biology and Immunology. Last year I was awarded a sanctuary scholarship after putting my dreams on hold for five years. My aim is to complete my studies and become a researcher to find cures for cancer. 

I have now studied for a whole year at the University of Bristol. The study ban was placed on me a few days before I was due to sit my first exam.  As a result, I am not allowed to study or sit my exams. If I breach this condition, it will be classified as a criminal offence which could result in criminal proceedings, a fine and/or six month imprisonment. 

I have worked very hard and Bristol University and Duncan Lewis solicitors have been very supportive. I am devastated and shattered that I won't be able to sit the exams I have worked so hard towards.

In order to challenge the STUDY BAN, I need to be able to pay the legal costs. Because I have a scholarship, I cannot access legal aid but this money should be spent on books, accommodation, transport and student living. I cannot afford to spend this money on legal fees and complete my studies. 

It would be very helpful if you could donate to this fund to help me cover my legal costs and attempt to have this STUDY BAN lifted. I would like to sit my exams and get on with my life which has, once again, been put on hold.
