CCDC is exploring a challenge of the action of the commissioners in separating out the building of the community corrections center from the construction of a new jail in order to avoid the necessity of placing the entire project on a public ballot in a referendum.

Local citizens bear tax burden

Here in DeKalb County we hear many comments about the heavy tax burdens families must bear because of our own over-zealous officials who are way too eager to spend someone else’s money.

One recurring comment we hear is that in households with two wage earners, it takes the entire yearly income of one earner to pay the taxes!

We Believe the commissioners are not taking the correct action of putting this project on a public ballot in a referendum.

This will help the citizens put a halt to this reckless spending of our tax money.
