Bring Moses Home
Bring Moses Home
I have been working for Citizens Advice Southend for over 10 yrs leading our immigration team for most of that time by helping people from abroad who have suffered trauma from living in hostile countries. They may be separated from their loved ones because of their inability to meet tough restrictive family immigration rules and the minimum income threshold which their sponsor wives are required to meet to bring them to UK. There seems little sign of the Home Office injecting some humanity and flexibility into these awful rules which currently may prevent spouses from abroad joining their family.
I became determined to help them and if possible give some hope of being reunited
We have been dealing with this family separated for over 10 years who had given up hope of ever being reunited and in their search for justice.
Justice however comes at an unaffordable price for the family, who are required to raise £3450 in order to meet the cost of fresh Home office & legal fees to prepare the case.
MR had been separated from his wife and two children for over 10 yrs , one of whom has been granted British citizenship,
The background story began in 2008 with MR being refused an extension to study for 2yrs for a Diploma in HIV Awareness, and was denied the opportunity to study and rejoin his young family in the UK.at the same time. Subsequent attempts to make temporary visits were also refused from Zimbabwe to UK.
The applications coincided with the most severe economic collapse in Zimbabwe in its modern history with income and savings being devalued at an alarming rate .
The authorities did not believe that MR would leave UK at the end of his visit visa and so refused permission compelling him to return to his impoverished homeland.
The challenge is to recruit competitive specialist legal help to challenge Home office decisions and to do that requires £3450 to pay for fresh Home Office entry clearance and legal costs to prepare a compassionate and compelling case for MR to re-join his family in UK on a permanent basis.
His wife and two children have been supported by social services and are unable to sponsor him because of the financial burden involved .Your donation could change all this and may prove chance in a lifetime to see them reunited at last.
We have in place a legal team at the right place and time with your help we have a chance to bring Moses home.
