I am a young British Asian woman seeking to raise my legal fees to take legal proceedings against my ex husband & inlaws for harassment and emotional abuse. I was forced to live in the control of the family and demeaned  after marriage. I was regularly  controlled, kept short of food and necessities, isolated, and surveilled by my husband and in laws who had promised me a bright future. I was like a prisoner in my own home, and cut off from family and friends under the threat of divorce. I became  unable to cope and felt like I was going crazy behind those walls. In 2015 I was abandoned outside my father's door in the middle of the night with no belongings. Three months later, my ex husband divorced me via text message. I blamed myself for a long time and continue to have suffered what can only be described as "slow suicide". 

I have battled for 3 years and I am now 75% close to trial (December 2018). I have awaited a long time to be given a chance to speak out about my abuse and have summoned the courage to face the oppressors in court to hold them accountable for their actions. I have already spent a considerable amount of my income on legal fees. I need your help to see this through - to fight to restore my dignity, and achieve  justice and send a strong message to such abusers that there are legal consequences.

 I am fighting this battle not only for myself, but for my dear parents who cried each day after their daughter was dumped and they came to know about the extent of my ordeal. I humbly ask for donations, prayers and support to be given a voice.
