Read moreAfter careful consideration and consulting the members of the BP Pensioner Group, we believe that we have a legal case and set of legal arguments that should be considered and resolved by the Pension Fund Trustee seeking a Court ruling (Route 1) or by the members of the BP Pensioner Group seeking a determination by the Pension Ombudsman (Route 2).
Members have generously pledged to make donations to enable the legal work to be undertaken to pursue both routes.
Please take the opportunity to use this CrowdJustice platform to convert your recent pledge into a donation.
If you haven’t pledged, please do consider making a donation to support the campaign.
Please also note that your donation can be made with complete anonymity if you wish and we stress that contributing won’t expose or commit you, in any way, to the costs of any future legal action.

Stretch target achieved!
Thank you on behalf of the BP Pensioner Group for your generous donations to the latest funding round. Hitting our target enables the BPPG to pursue both Route 1 (Retain specialist lawyers to press a case with the Trustee to convince them to seek a High Court ruling) and Route 2 (Steering Group to prepare and present a case to the Pensions Ombudsman).
We also hit the stretch target which enables us to turn to our external legal experts for ad hoc advice on a range of campaign legal issues which we know from experience will be needed, as illustrated in our recent breakdown for members of the legal costs incurred to date. We will also have some funds flexibility to seek specialist legal review of the work that the SG do in preparing the Pension Ombudsman submission.
