We're a large group of bp pensioners out of around 60,000 who've had the value of our pensions cut materially by bp. We just want to get back what's ours.

We are a large group of BP pensioners out to a total of around 60,000 who've all had the purchasing power of our pensions cut materially as a result of BP's actions.  We simply want to get back what's ours.

In the last two years the cost of living rose by 7.5% and then by 13.4%.  Our BP pensions only rose by 5% each year.  The value of our pensions has been reduced permanently by 11%.

We are seeking to raise up to £60,000 to instruct our solicitor to send letters ahead of action prepared in conjunction with a leading pensions Kings Counsel to the Trustee and to BP.  They will aim to persuade them to take the disputed issues with the seriousness they merit and to engage with the BP Pensioners Group which they have refused to do so far. Depending on the response we may need to engage in further fund raising to obtain legal advice on the next steps.

The average BP pension in UK is only around £20,000.  If we are successful, we will increase this average by around £2,000 per pensioner; not just in one year, but for the rest of our lives and the lives of our dependents.
