I’m a single mother with three-year-old son. We’re homeless, destitute and abandoned. Your support would help me to pay for my immigration appeal hearing.

SJ is a young Pakistani mother to a three-year-old son born outside of wedlock to her in the UK, after she had married a British Citizen in Pakistan in October 2010.The family planned for her to join him as his wife, but also to pursue a master’s degree in the UK. On arrival to the UK, SJ discovered, after her husband refused to pick her up from the airport, that her husband was already married and had another family. His only interest had been the dowry paid by SJ’s family.

She was left destitute, abandoned and homeless. She received threats from her brother and father in Pakistan who accused her of dishonouring her family and told her that she would not be accepted back in Pakistan by them. SJ started a relationship which resulted in the birth of her now three-year-old son.Unfortunately, she was abandoned for the second time, by her partner who didn’t want the burden of supporting her and their child in their immigration case.

Currently, SJ is reliant on the kindness of the few people she knows in the UK, some of whom allow her to stay with them in exchange for cooking and cleaning for them. SJ still lacks income to provide for her son, but now needs to fund her immigration appeal hearing, which has the backing of a strong County and Honour Report.

Your support for this young and desperate mother would be greatly appreciated as it would mean that she is then able to build a positive future for herself and her son by integrating to local community.

She could then contribute to society as a whole without fear of being forced back to a country where she and her son would face hostility, be ostracised and be in immediate danger from her own family/wider society.
